Katie Wighton is the guitarist/vocalist in ARIA-award winning folk outfit All Our Exes Live in Texas. All Our Exes have spent the better part of the last few years touring the world supporting acts including The Backstreet Boys, Passenger and Midnight Oil in the US.

In 2017 All Our Exes Live in Texas won the ARIA award for Best Blues & Roots Album for their critically acclaimed debut, “When We Fall”. In the same year they went home with “Folk Act of the Year” at both the National Live Music Awards and AU Review Awards. Songs from the album were also nominated for the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition and APRA Song of the Year.

In 2023, Katie released her debut album The End via ABC Music.

In 2019 Katie began working with Dave Symes (Boy and Bear), James Seymour (Feelds, Merpire) and Liz Drummond (Little May) as co-producers to record an EP.

Her single, King Size Bed was written with Jenny Owen-Youngs (Panic! At The Disco) and Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco, Taylor Swift, Weezer) in LA in 2018 and was described as “A BIG hell yeah!” by Clare Mooney, jjj.

Her follow up single, You Act Like a Child is “a heartfelt exploration of vulnerability wrapped up in bold indie rock goodness.” Earmilk

Wighton has an extensive and impressive list of co-writes under her belt including Colin Hay, Jenny Owens-Young (Panic! At The Disco), Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco, Taylor Swift, Pink), Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) Marc Orrell (Dropkick Murphys), Tony Buchen (The Preachers, Courtney Barnett), Toby Dundas (The Temper Trap), Henry Wagons (Wagons) and Sam Burtt (Sam Phay).

She’s also a proud APRA AMCOS ambassador and the manager of SongMakers Program.
